Founding Father, James Monroe, and his family, moved to Ash Lawn-Highland in November 1799. He served as the fifth President of the United States from 1817 to 1825 and is known for issuing the Monroe Doctrine. By 1826, Monroe sold this estate to cover pressing debts. Today, you can visit this historic house museum to learn about the people and events as the young United States was growing.
We handcraft this home from 3/4" thick wood with a short history on the back. It's the perfect size to set on a bookshelf, mantle, window ledge, or the molding above a door or window. Definitely group it with other Cat's Meows that help you remember a trip or a time in history.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, hiding in the bushes. He's a sign of an authentic Cat's Meow.
