After the torturous journey of visiting a Bedford Falls, aka Pottersville, that never knew George Bailey, he returns to the bridge where is all started and pleas for help from Clarence and prays to live again. Slowly restored, George is delighted to have his bloody lip back, see his wrecked car, and runs through the town sending his joyous Merry Christmas greetings to the folks along the way as well as to the movie house emporium, and the "wonderful old Building and Loan."
