Horse Shoeing shops are a real need in every Amish community. Shoeing a horse is like putting new tires on your car. Buggy horse hooves would wear too quickly on the roads if they didn't have a "shoe" to protect them. Horses need new or reworked shoes every 2 to 3 months as their hooves keep growing. The reshoeing process takes less than an hour and is by appointment only.
This Amish keepsake, created from 3/4" thick wood, sets neatly on a shelf, wainscoting, or window/door trim. The front design portrays a typical building from the Amish community surrounding The Cat's Meow Village in Wooster, OH. A description written on the back describes the Amish way of life.
