The original Lazy Flamingo, located at the very end of Sanibel just before the bridge to Captiva, used to be the best-kept secret of locals, but word got out years ago about the delicious food and ice-cold beer. The original “Lazy” is the best sort of beach dive bar and is as casual as it can get. Diners can come for lunch or dinner straight from the beach and your food is usually straight from local waters as well. Their burger is said to be one of the best on the islands.
Look closely, and you'll find Casper, our black cat mascot, peeking through the bushes, watching all the diners inside. He's our official mascot, which means you'll possess an authentic Cat's Meow.
