Ten years after Interstate 40 bypassed Route 66 in 1978, the determination of local barber, Angel Delgadillo, resulted in the first Historic Route 66 Association formed in Arizona. Angel & Velma’s barbershop/gift shop sits on the longest remaining stretch of Route 66 in the U.S. Make sure you stop by to shop and visit with Angel and his family.
We handcraft this shop in 3/4" thick wood in our Ohio workshop. Casper, our black cat mascot, decided he wanted to visit this shop and took off 2 weeks ago to travel 2,000 miles just so he could get pets and treats from Velma and Angel.
