Sixty-eight years after the battle of Bunker Hill a 221-foot granite obelisk was erected to commemorate June 17, 1775.  The battle lasted less than 2 hours.  Of the 1.400 to 1,800 colonial soldiers, 300-500 were captured, wounded or killed.  Of the 2,400 British soldiers and marines, 1,000 were killed or wounded.  The Siege of Boston became a stalemate that ended a year later in March 1776.  Originally an 18-foot wooden pillar stood in its place to honor Dr. Joseph Warren, a patriot, physician, and political activist who died during this battle.

In 1902 the granite lodge was opened next to the obelisk to house a statue of Dr. Warren.  Today it is open to the public and you can walk the 294 steps to the top.

We're a small workshop of 15 crew members in Wooster, Ohio who love our jobs of crafting replicas that hold deep meaning for you!
