Listed on the Register of Historic Places, St. George Reef is a sturdy light that has survived the storms of time. Built 6 miles offshore from Crescent City, CA, it was also the costliest lighthouse to build at $700,000 plus, and took 10 years to complete. Today, the light shines as a private navigational aid run by the St. George Reef Lighthouse Preservation Society.
Our lighthouse is inspired by the USPS 2007 Pacific Coast lighthouse stamps.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, catching some saltwater spray at the base of the lighthouse.
