Drum Point Lighthouse is only one of three remaining screwpile, cottage-type lighthouses that served the Chesapeake Bay. At the beginning of the twentieth century, forty-five of this style of lighthouse served the Bay Area. Drum Point at the mouth of the Patuxent River received its new lighthouse in 1883. Drum Point Light was moved to the Calvert Marine Museum in 1975 and remains the focus of the museum's waterfront.
This lighthouse is handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood, painted to reflect its colorful details. Group it with other Cat's Meow coastal-themed items to create a little scene on your mantel, shelf, or molding above your window or doorway.
