As the third most visited National Park in 2025, 4.76 million people visited Yellowstone National Park.
Located just south of Yellowstone's north entrance, Albright Visitor Center is in one of the old stone buildings of Fort Yellowstone, a US Army fort built during the beginning days of the national park.
The remaining 34 structures were built between the 1890s and early 1900s. At that time the US Army was needed to protect the park from souvenir hunters, poacher, and tourist developers who south to exploit the land.
