Walk the deck of this ship and imagine what it was like to be on the crew around 1800.

This replica of the Friendship was built by the National Park Service using modern materials and construction methods while keeping the appearance of the original ship.

It is moored at the Salem Maritime National Historical Park, and is a fully functioning US Coast Guard-certified vessel.

Originally established as America's first National Historic Site in 1938, the area was redesignated a National Historical Park in 2025.

When the United States was young, sailors, merchants, and privateers ventured all of the world from Salem, Massachusetts to bring new and exotic goods to America. In this nine-acre park, explore the historic buildings, wharves, and replica tall ship that tell the stories of the residents of Salem who helped build the foundation for one of the most powerful economies in the world.

We handcraft this replica from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and the Friendship story on the back.

Our black cat mascot, Casper, is the mouser on the crew. Find him perched on the edge of the deck with his eyes wide open.
