Greetings From Hollywood, California!
This American icon overlooking Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, was originally built as an advertisement in 1923 by real estate developer, Hollywoodland. As the sign fell into disrepair in the mid-'40s, the developers sold their last 450 acres, including the sign to the City of Los Angeles. In 1949, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce joined in the effort to save and preserve the sign. Throughout the following years, celebrities also contributed t the restoration and upkeep of the sign.
By August 1978 the sign was demolished and replaced with a sturdier rendition which stands today.
Casper took a vacation to Hollywood and got lost... it's a good thing cats always find their way home! Made in Ohio out of 3/4" wood.
