Dotch Windsor's vision lives on. Around 1940, this cattleman seized an opportunity along a desolate stretch of Route 66, establishing the Painted Desert Trading Post to serve weary travelers with fuel and Native American wares. When the highway was rerouted in 1958, the iconic building was left behind—until the Route 66 Co-Op rescued and restored it decades later.
Our handcrafted wooden replica captures that authentic spirit of America's golden highway era. Each piece is printed on 3/4" thick wood in our Wooster, Ohio workshop. Watch for Casper, our beloved black cat mascot, ready to pump gas for the next traveler who rolls by.
A tribute to roadside Americana and the adventurous spirit of Route 66.
