South Have Pier Light is an example of a typical pierhead lighthouse. This steel tower was built in 1903 to replace the previous wooden version. This sentinel has guarded the entrance to the Black River for over 100 years.
In 2012, the lighthouse was transferred from the U.S. Coast Guard to the Historical Association of South Haven, Michigan.
